That's not true; candidates and parties spend the entire election cycle trying to figure out what voters want and how to give it to them to secure their votes.

You have until Election Day to make your demands on candidates and make it clear that changing their "bus route" may be enough to make you get on board.

Until you're in the booth, keep making noise.
