Just to make sure I'm understanding correctly;
Invited Experts is literal; you must be invited. There is no application process as such. If people want to be invited, they can;
* come to the weekly AP issue triage meetings
* take part in CG taskforces
* come to joint WG/CG meetings
Then ...

And we should probably be clear about the change in the AP spec. It will likely be iterative and backwards compatible. A lot of the work will be clarifying badly defined behavior, adding more and better examples, and so on. It's going to be evolutionary, not revolutionary.
