I have a tendency to aggressively refactor when I build new things. It's one of the most valuable skills to have to fight entropy during programming.
What's interesting is the tension between aggressive refactoring and PR reviews. It's difficult to review a bundled set of changes, and it's also difficult to review the whole. That's why I like doing pair and mob programming.
