If you’re trying LLMs: 1) use good models: everything you can run locally is probably too small to be useful. I recommend Claude 4 Sonnet, or Gemini 2.5 Pro. 2) don’t expect to be good at it immediately. The context you provide matters a lot. It’s an acquired skill.
