Borderlands 4、最初の小規模DLCを突如無料化している。このDLCの情報が出てから、界隈ではだいぶ評判が悪かったのでそれに対応した格好。

グラフィック等が複雑になったせいか、それともゲーム開発自体が大きく変わったためか、Borderlands 2と同様のクオリティのDLCがこれから開発されるとは思えないものの、そういった限界を認めつつもプレイヤーの不満に応えたこの判断は最適解かも。
（前作のTiny Tina's WonderlandのDLCが、base gameのendgameのreskinに近く評判が悪かったにも関わらず、今回のBorderlands 4の最初のDLCでも既存マップのreskinのように見えて、その点で懸念されていた）
