Who came up with the idea of banging pots at 7pm everyday during lockdown? It was "to support the medical workers" but ... it wasn't about that at all was it?

Banging pots was a way to scare off demons in the middle ages.

Was it organic or more of a government/sponsored thing?

Thinking back, feels like a fever dream. There is a big housing tower behind me with balconies and all the people would come out and I could see them. That was fun! Like new year's eve.
