I'm surprised I don't see more people hacking on the RP1's functionality on the Pi 5 / CM5 / Pi 500 — here's a device tree overlay by @josh enabling full PPS pin support through RP1, including PPS echo to measure Linux kernel latency for things like timing signals: https://github.com/josh-blake/pps-rp1
