@jalefkowitJason Lefkowitz this fills in a missing piece of Ira Glass's "taste-talent gap" concept yirenlu.com/inspiration-scrapb . I like his idea, and it definitely affects beginners with taste *more*, but he misses the part where, as you point out, as your talent develops your taste *continues to improve* so while the gap narrows, and the quality does improve, it's almost impossible to ever get to the point where you are fully happy with something.
