I really liked @skinnylatteAdrianna Tan 's thoughtful unpacking of her incomprehension of the food-as-fuel aspect of American culture (and the concept does have big problems), but several replies were just sneering at the "tech-bro" nature of trends like "human kibble" (and products like Soylent). I think it's worth remembering that many elements of "tech-bro" culture have tremendous overlap with neurodivergent culture and we should be careful about what we sneer at.

@skinnylatte@hachyderm.io A lot of your writing about food (including this thread) really resonates with me and I find it both mournful and wonderful. But I think that some of the same cultural forces that built your relationship with food are actually responsible for at least one dimension of the "human kibble" / soylent phenomenon.
