I have upvoted this and I think you should too, because I think it says something about the world that we want to live in. https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/35086

But I also think that it is important to understand that users cannot meaningfully have "rights" in a world in which contracts of adhesion can exist. If "continuing to use the service" constitutes contractual agreement and thus, potentially a perpetual license grant, then they can just steal all your content at a moment's notice.
