Sometimes it's good to criticize ideas but sometimes you just need to learn which people are trustworthy. Remember the names "Stephen Macedo" and "Frances E. Lee", the authors of this horrible book, who are credulous morons carrying water for fascists. Their star is rising on the back of this travesty, so you'll probably need to be able to recognize them.
