Even if you only read the petition, learning about what the Saskatchewan and Alberta provincial governments are attempting is a step in the right direction. Signing the petition is a step. It is going to be a long journey, but this is not one we can sit out.

In the 1980 constitutional negotiations lead by Trudeau Sr. There was bargaining about trading the federal disallowance for the notwithstanding clause. It failed, NWC and disallowance went ahead.
Disallowance is not some ancient loophole that should never be used, it was retained exactly for this possibility, where provinces abuse the NWC to attack minority rights.
This is a petition calling for disallowance to be used to counter the NWC abuse that provs are using to attack trans people.
