Hmmmm, the Synopsys ARC CPU group was bought by GlobalFoundries and is going to be folded into the MIPS group¹ ² ³?

(Reminder that the ARC CPU core began life as the SuperFX chip for the SNES⁴ while more recently they've been powering embedded devices like SSDs⁵)
