The follow-up is finally out, providing insights how the decentralized identity community can avoid the dead-end of web identifiers and protocols.

The article describes the origin of our Sovereign Data Exchange (SVDX) identifier, and some of the design ideas that went into it to make it easy to adopt with any tool chain - including the web - while designing it as a truly decentralized identifier to be rolled out for the Swiss healthcare ecosystem, starting this year.
