I'm writing a thing. It's going over some basic mechanisms about how meritocracy messages about pay don't always work the way we think they do. Every time I write a damn thing like this my brain screams, EVERYBODY KNOWS THIS and IT'S SO OBVIOUS please tell me trying to educate about basic social science is helpful
