Wow, your open source community isn't behaving with respect for people's effort and generosity in contributing to knowledge? The same open source community that tolerated people harassing women out of it on the regular and still put those people on stage? That open source community doesn't have the social norms to protect YOU now?

Every time I post even a high level glancing comment like this, some response to it is like "obviously Cat is speaking of XX guy" and it's someone I have never heard of (sue me, I spent my training years in a PhD program doing social science not here) and I go look up the wikipedia entry about whoever and it's worse than I imagined
