Some weeks life just decides to throw things at you to see if it can take you down.

A couple weeks ago, storms took out some trim on the house, so we have our handiman coming to repair that for $$$.

The new ~$375 mower purchased last fall and used for one mowing of the yard before being put in the shed for the winter? Refused to start when I went to mow the yard for the first time this past week. Another $150–200 (and 1 week) to diagnose & repair.

The phone? Its battery just decided to keel over (not a gradual thing), so it refuses to run unless it's on the charger and positioned *just so*. Another $200+ to replace that.

So now I'm waiting to see what decides to die next…the washer or dryer? Stove? Some pipe bursting?

But despite the frustrations, I'm thankful we have sufficient savings to cover them as only annoyances, not financial disasters.
