Portrait of Lady Charlotte Harley (1801-1880) as Ianthe (Lord Byron, "To Ianthe," Childe Harold's Pilgrimage).

Drawn by R. Westall. Engraved by W. Finden. - W. Brockedon (annotator). Finden's Illustrations of Life and Works of Lord Byron. Vol. II. London: John Murray, Albemarle Street, 1833.

Lady Charlotte is depicted in a graceful, seated pose, with her head slightly tilted and gaze turned gently outward or downward. Her expression is soft, serene, and composed, exuding an air of idealized purity and introspection.

She wears classical-style clothing, often a flowing gown reminiscent of Greco-Roman dress, a hallmark of Romantic portraiture. Her hair is arranged in soft curls, enhancing the youthful innocence Byron emphasized in his poem.
