Someone who knows needs to explain the SB half time show to me. I understand that it is mostly "Panem et circenses" but ever since Beyonces' black panther dancers I'm wondering how this thing functions within US society.
Is it a pressure valve of sorts that is simply tolerated?

I mean, people say Bad Bunny was tame, but was he really? The "God Bless America" thing must have been a gut punch (don't get me wrong: well deserved) for the US exceptionalism racists.
