And they can charge high prices for that, because people like me are willing to pay almost anything if they really want their coffee, and they want to be sure it won't be terrible.
That works exactly as long as noone else comes along and says: "We can give you that surely-not-terrible coffee, but it's gonna be cheap."
That's what Luckin did in China. (I think... last time I was in China they didn't exist yet, so never tasted it.) That's what LAP now tries to copy in Germany.
