@thisismissemEmelia ๐ธ๐ป Huh? Again? This was in ~Tagesschau about a month ago, *and* in news one month before that. Someone is working really hard to try to get this into media.
It's a prime case for where journalists should have more math literacy, say in percentages. Then they could ask "8.6 bn sounds like a lot" (which is what whoever is trying to place this is counting on) "how much is that in %?"
The answer is 0.19% GDP.
One day more is, btw, 0.39% more work time.
