generalizing a caricature of deeply toxic individuals as "influencers" and portraying it as brave to resist the influence of those who boycott is a wildly manipulative thing to do
"my workplace uses google" is a fabricated dilemma. nobody is calling you immoral for being coerced by your employer. i don't believe anyone is calling people immoral for using google personally? the problem is when you impose a dependence upon google infrastructure for others. if you share a google doc, it requires everyone else to have an account with google to edit. that's where it becomes problematic, and that's not an ambient property of having a google account but an active decision to disenfranchise those without one
