OpenAI가 어떻게 돈을 벌고 잃는지 잘 설명해준 글타래. 돈을 많이 벌긴하는데 쓰는돈이 여전히 너무 많음. 계산 비용이 거의 절반이고 인건비는 사실 생각외로 낮음 sales and marketing 왜 이렇게 크고 revenue sharing은 또 무엇인가... 궁금하지만 나중에 찾아봐야...

Was serving GPT-5 profitable? According to jsevillamol.bsky.social, @exponentialview.skystack.xyz’s Hannah Petrovic, and Anson Ho, it depends. Gross margins were around 45%, making inference look profitable. But after accounting for the cost of operations, OpenAI likely incurred a loss.👇
