We honor the courage of community members who are looking out for one another and demanding dignity and safety for all. We reject all forms of violence, and recommit to nonviolent organizing. ICE and CBP must leave our communities. Every person involved must be held fully accountable under the law, without special treatment and without excuses.
We call for the immediate arrest of the ICE officers who carried out this deadly shooting, and for full accountability for all federal officials and agency leadership who authorized and oversaw this operation. We know federal officials will not lift a finger to ensure accountability — it is up to state and local officials to stand up for justice, the rule of law, and the safety of our communities.
