When I was a kid, we went to church twice a year. Once on Christmas for midnight mass at San Felipe de Neri and once in October at Chimayo. Supposedly, we were going to touch the holy ground and get a blessing but, really, we went so my mom could get the chile she liked. If you want to try the soul of New Mexico, you can buy the same chile online.
