I love fresh tortillas but I always have bad luck with the tortilla press. They stick, they tear, they end up dry, the whole thing feels like a production. So, I almost never make them. Today, I thought: what if I just skip all that and make them by hand? Long story short, they turned out great! They aren't tortillas in the traditional sense but they're sturdy enough to stand up to salsa and soft enough to fold around a pile of beans. Yay!
