It's been two full weeks since I turned off my smartphone and it was definitely the right choice. I was really worried about not having it but in the last two weeks I've only had to say "I'm sorry, I don't have a smartphone" once and it got me out of doing something I didn't want to do anyway. My attention is starting to come back and I'm definitely less anxious. Everyone is different and my experience will never be your experience but if you can, try getting rid of the misery box.
