booting that machine in particular is always a bit nerve-wracking because if it doesn't come up cleanly, the dance to get to a recovery console is a real pain
this feels like common knowledge to us but there's always someone out there to whom it's new information -
although it's always fun to have good uptime, and people can get very proud of how long their machines have gone without a reboot, you should actually reboot it any time there's a new kernel version or else you're not getting the security updates
