Garmin just released the InReach Mini 3, which is worse in many ways than the v2 (heavier, worse battery life, touch screen that’s more a liability than a feature in an emergency device). BUT this means the v2 is on deep discount, which means if you’ve been thinking about getting one now’s a great time. I’m a huge fan of mine - it’s an essential piece of safety gear, imo, and has been indispensable when plans change and I need to deal with logistics in the backcountry.
