Reflecting on my decision to leave the tech industry this year, I’m increasingly sure I made the right call. It’s clear to me that in the corners I worked, AI would have profoundly changed my job. In some positive ways I think, but also lots of negative ones — and more importantly, with the level of burnout I had, I would have really really struggled to adapt. There’s a good chance I’d’ve ended up getting fired, and struggled to find a new job. (1/2)
