I don't know who needs to hear this, but: if you buy this USB Wi-Fi adapter from Netgear, when you get it home and open the box you will discover a note saying that to make it functional you must go to netgear.com and download some software.

HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DO THAT WITHOUT A FUNCTIONAL NETWORK ADAPTER
