My talk from this year’s local-first conf in Berlin is out now.

15 Years of Local First: A Best-Of Report from the Field: youtube.com/watch?v=_x0kmL-AZ0

It’s a cheeky reference to the fact that LF has only been around since 2019 and we are doing very similar things since the early 2010s that we were calling offline-first.

But, importantly, it was thrilling to see 450 people being very receptive about the things we had to share and being excited for what we can bring to this new community. 1/3

For us, these projects are:

- Stemming an Ebola epidemic.
- Building a production grade COVID Vaccination Supply Chain “From BionTech/Pfizer to jab in arm” in three and a half weeks.
- Supporting Route Planning for Humanitarian Disaster Relief Convoys (again in three weeks).

I go into much more detail in the talk, and I plan to share even more details in future blog posts, but these are the kinds of projects that make me wake up in the morning and that make it all worth it. 3/3
