@christaChrista Something that could be Mes-compatible would be good for bootstrapping purposes, though I don't know how viable that is

@cwebberChristine Lemmer-Webber @christaChrista Yes, that would be great, but I would not suggest to focus too much on that for now. Mes is becoming more and more Guile compatible.

Also, even when this new build system were available it would take some time before the packages we build during bootstrap would use it I guess.

Timothy Sample has been working on Mes-compatiblity for Gash and Gash-Utils (both with patches for Gash/Gash-Utils and for Mes). Also he has been working on a bootstrappable syntax-case for Mes. Both projects seem to be on hold, really hoping Tim finds the time to work on these.
