Interesting. GitHub are now way more strict about unauthenticated access. https://github.blog/changelog/2025-05-08-updated-rate-limits-for-unauthenticated-requests/

I hit this once but thought it was a glitch.

So I guess they are trying to stop LLM scrapers (tho MS played a large part in inflating that bubble, so what goes around comes around ...).

But this isn't great if they claim to be the home of *open* source projects 😞
