If you could put yourself in the mindframe of a truly new-to-fediverse user who doesn't know what they're in for, what are your thoughts on the following:

1) pre-made short list of accounts to follow, whether automated subscription or "suggested follows".

2) A Welcome announcement such as CoSocial.ca does for new members.

3) If possible (might not be), setting their initial timeline view to the Local timeline not the (default: empty) home TL

4) Other thoughts?

i also like making the default the local timeline

i don’t love the suggested accounts and i hate the auto-follow option.
