A while ago, German lawmakers agreed that an independent advisory council should be established so that regulators hear a lot of different voices on what is going well and poorly about DSA enforcement.

It's made up of representatives from business associations, civil society and consumer protection groups and academics.

Now, one of the current members, HateAid, is being punished by the US administration with visa restrictions.

The allegations against HateAid are factually incorrect and a political scare tactic with serious consequences for the individuals/organizations. The US administration is deliberately undermining HateAid and other organizations, the advisory council and the attempt to enforce the DSA while listeninig to critical and pluralistic voices.

It's reassuring to read that the organizations will continue offering critical perspectives on tech companies, regulators and lawmakers on DSA enforcement.
