I'm going to start a video channel where I explain math and physics and interview people. That's part of my new job at the the University of Edinburgh.

What should I call it? The name should contain "Edinburgh" because they're paying me to do this.

The head of maths suggested "Edinburgh Hub of Ideas". I don't like the word "hub" here, because that sounds more like a place. For example, the main cafeteria at U. C. Riverside was called The Hub.

I might try "Thought Explorations".

(With "Edinburgh" in front, but people may leave that out when they talk about it, and that's fine with me.)

What do you suggest?

I'm going to buy a better webcam today and get started. I will start out very low-tech, with minimal production values. I will start cranking out short videos explaining stuff, to practice. Sort of like Richard Borcherds but with more jokes
