I think might just be another radicalizing moment for me in seeing how must of an influence a few hundred lines of code can have over the structure of a whole digital-technological system, we are a tiny instance of like a ~few hundred people on here per month and a ~few dozen ppl on here every day and i'm already seeing a gigantic difference in how alive the fediverse feels and how i use it, and @elduvelle did too and demonstrated the importance of for moderation without even knowing it was deployed for sure. When everyone has it via mainline mastodon then we have a very different fediverse. Thinking about all the wasted opportunities, missed connections, and instances of harm and people leaving the fedi from a few hundred lines of code.
