The "AI" people think we are on the wrong side of history rejecting an inevitable, infinite future. I think they are catastrophically shortsighted about the much longer infinity of the future they are forcing, where everyone will crave reality, humanity, and finitude, forever. We never realized what it meant to take for granted the presence of humanity, and the people that stole it from everyone will want it more than anyone - the same accelerationists will pay dearly to get a taste of it in $20k retreats and tech cleanses - but who could blame any human being for denying them access to whatever enclaves we manage to preserve?
