　8日投開票の衆院選で、自民党は派閥の政治資金パーティー裏金事件に関係した前議員らのうち43人を公認した。高市早苗首相は「もう一度働くチャンスを与えてやっていただきたい」と理解を求めるが、中道改革連合など野党には「（自民は）反省していない」などと批判を強める動きがあり、争点の一つに浮上している。
