Golden hour at Eggum beach
Another place at Lofoten that I revisited was Eggum beach (www.flickr.com/photos/115540984@N02/46352185695/in/album-..., www.flickr.com/photos/115540984@N02/53423989876/in/album-...). I had been here in 2018 during awful weather (www.flickr.com/photos/115540984@N02/44203268385/in/album-...) but I remembered the beauty of the landscape and hoped to encounter again some sea eagles and otters that I had seen back then. When I arrived this time the weather was again disappointing since most of the day there was a mist hanging around everywhere, but late in the afternoon suddenly it started opening up, and around golden hour the sky was completely clear. It turned out that I was not the only person that visited Eggum. Contrary to my visit in 2018 (June), this time it was stuffed with campers. Most people camp around the Borga Eggum where there is a campsite. Luckily when you walk an hour or so in the direction of Unstad, the place is empty again and that is where I made this shot. Actually this is a stitched panorama shot of 17 images. Eggum is a magical place and the beaches are amazing here!
