Not that we would ever get all developers to agree, but i do wish there was a standard `.config/` or `.tools/` directory in most repos for all the assorted tools . . . instead of every tool having a `.<toolname>` or `.<tooldir>`

(While I'm being naive, I also wish projects followed https://specifications.freedesktop.org/basedir/latest/ instead of thinking they're important enough to have their own `~/.<project>` config directory 🙃 )
