@simonSimon Willison In this context, I find this statement "This post is not about the broader climate impacts of AI beyond chatbots, or about whether AI is bad for other reasons (copyright, hallucinations, job loss, risks from advanced AI, etc.)." a cop out. As the practical and political are very intimately intertwined.

For example, do we get a choice in the use of chatbots (personally) if this technology gets injected into even your dishwasher? (we don't)
