大埔宏福苑五級大火奪去逾百條人命，全城陷入哀悼之際，浸大學生會昨日（12月2日）在學生會告示板貼出大字報，寫上「沉痛哀悼宏福苑大火死者」「WE ARE HONGKONGERS」「懇請政府從善如流 回應公眾需求 公義得到伸張」等字句，以示悼念及表達請求。
不過，大字報張貼翌日，校方今日即以多個膠馬圍封學生會告示板及毗鄰民主牆，兩處均禁止靠近，張貼物亦無法再被近距離查看。事件隨即在網上引起關注，不少網民質疑校方做法，留言表示「普通人連追尋真相的權利都沒有了嗎？」
