@idbriiDavid Something like what you mentioned! But I’d take _anything_ at this point. Just relaxing browser storage eviction rules would already help, so the bloody things wouldn’t come back after a week (Safari is especially bad about this).

@idbriiDavid Browsers had W3C P3P cookie preferences header in 2002, and Google intentionally sabotaged it.
Browsers tried again with the DNT header, and the ad industry killed it as soon as it got non-trivial amount of users.
The problem exists, because the multi-trillion-dollar tracking industry wants it to exist. The popups are intentionally obnoxious to make users associate privacy with stupid inconvenience, and give up demanding privacy.
consentomatic + ublock origin help a lot.
