ちなみに、OpenOffice/LibreOfficeの母体となったSun Microsystemsの製品は、本来は「StarOffice」という名称だったが、日本ではNECが商標権を持っていたため「StarSuite」を名乗っていた。
自分の大学時代は大学当局設置マシンがSolarisだったため、MS Office系のファイルを読み込むためにStarSuiteを起動する必要があったが、コマンド名は「soffice」だったのは覚えている
