I would not buy a house right now. Yet I knew that all of this was coming a year ago, and did a year ago, because I let everyone convince me that I was catastrophizing about the future. And now that it’s here it feels like a sick joke I played on myself. I would have rather not known this was coming and gotten hit by the train than been able to hear the whistle and deliberately placed my car on the tracks.

My short take: Good for the normies to hear in plain English, though essentially repeats what most techies have been saying for a while now and are saying louder now since it has come for their coding jobs, as seemed inevitable. Personally, I am more concerned with safety and the far too small group of key decision makers in AI. https://shumer.dev/something-big-is-happening
