After a little thread with @fmorsFernando M. S. 🇵🇸 and @_elenaElena Rossini ⁂ about self-hosting, I wanted to make a little thread about how I started with it and how it evolved over the years.
It all started with being annoyed by google ~4 years ago and deciding that I want to take my own data into my own hands, as much as for me possible. I'm an IT guy so I have some knowledge, but I've never been a "server guy". So most of it was new. 1/7
