Just got my author copy so I can confirm that my piece "People of the Consortium of Worlds v. Rax, God of Misery" is published in the December/January issue of Analog. Possibly the best short story I've written so far.

A cold, depressing rain poured onto the worst planet in the galaxy. The atmospheric sensors showed so much water vapor that Ravy didn’t want to open
the hatch. As long as the airlock stayed closed, the worst planet in the galaxy was just a loud rattling noise on her spacecraft’s rapidly cooling hull. Once she opened it, she would have to treat it like any other Consortium settlement. Take their depositions, hear their lawsuits, investigate their crimes.

Sector Judicant Ravy Uvana had her duty, but she also had her preferences. She didn’t like colonies that were ethnic monocultures, much less a monoculture of her fellow cachuhay. People like these should stay on the homeworld, where help was easy to get. Let other species follow the dreams of their collective unconscious deep into space, toward the edge of civilization where the rules were
less constraining. Let others build homes for their strange cults and call for evacuation when their utopias failed. The unconscious dreams of the cachuhay were not the kind to be followed.
