Just looked into this and it looks like @pixelfed doesn't support remote edits of the media after posting, which seems like a big issue. If I post the wrong photo and edit it here on Mastodon I would expect that edit to be propagated to anyone following me, but of course I know that is not the case with some software cause not everyone has written support for edits, but still this is something someone needs to be working on...
